San Juan
San Juan, Ibiza, Balearics, Spain
The principal village in the north of the island with its couple of streets of sleepy houses surrounded by lush poppy fields in spring. This part of the island is very quiet and attracts people who are either interested in hiking and cycling or are looking for a peaceful beach holiday.
Various species of sea birds like the crested cormorant and the Eleanor falcon live in this coastline away from civilisation where there are also unusul endemic flowers that shoot up between the rocks. Its three main holiday resorts are found in Cala San Vicente, Portinatx and Puerto San Miguel.
