San Carlos is a little whitewashed hamlet village with a relaxing atmosphere. It is perfectly situated for access to all of the beaches on the north-eastern side of Ibiza, including Cala Pou des Lleo, Cala Lena and Cala Mastella. The village first became associated with hippies as far back as the 1960s and this tradition has carried on today with the Saturday ??Hippy? market just south of the village on the Santa Eulalia road. The 18th century village church of Esglesia de Sant Carlos has had an interesting historic past.
